Who we are…

Maxim Zimmerman is not alone in his work.

I have worked in law firm intake and operations since 2015, cutting my teeth then digging in deep at Price Benowitz, LLP in Washington, D.C.

Starting as an unpaid intern who stocked office supplies, did court runs, and drafted form retainers, I then conducted tens of thousands of intakes for years.

Becoming the Intake Director for more than 8 practice areas in the 30+ lawyer firm, I oversaw various iterations of staff and technology, coordinating sales and client service with marketing. I trained new lawyers in intake and sales, and developed procedures in various legal markets in the mid-Atlantic region.

I have chosen to eat, sleep, and breathe law firm management for almost 10 years.

After leading an intake team through much of the pandemic, I worked for the innovative all stars at Great Legal Marketing, and with other fantastic minds in the consulting space before Maximize took flight.

I have since advised and trained lawyers and intake teams in old, new, solo, small, volume, rural, tribal, and community practices across the country.

Now, Maximize Advising helps firms do better for more clients, their way – and seeks to foster new traditions in the legal world.

As a 2L student at Mitchell Hamline School of Law, I am also elevating my ability and role in the legal world.
